Chances are high that you came across face rollers in online shops, beauty magazines, social media or even a friends‘ home. The most common ones are made from either rose quartz or jade. Some face rollers are made to be kept in the freezer (so-called ice rollers) and others are spiked. You see there’s a couple of different face rollers out there to fit everyone’s need for the perfect facial massage. So what are the benefits of face rollers?
Some of the key benefits that are worth being highlighted are:
- Decreases puffiness: The facial massage with a face roller works similar to a lymphatic drainage, thus helping to decrease puffiness.
- Cools and soothes your skin: Cold stones like rose quartz or jade cool your skin naturally while others might prefer to store their face roller in the fridge or even in the freezer (depending on the product).
- Improves blood circulation: The blood flow of your face gets stimulated because of the massaging effect.
- Distributes skincare products: You may use a face roller after applying skincare products like a serum or moisturizer to help the product to sink deeper into your skin. Make sure to layer your skincare in the correct sequence following my guide on skincare layering.
Make sure to always clean your face roller after using it or clean it once a week at least.
